Status:

I am a Lecturer
at the Telfer
School of Management at University
of Ottawa. My appointments include teaching senior undergraduate
(B.Com.) level and graduate (M.B.A. and M.Sc.) level courses in Management
Information Systems, e-Business
Technologies & Operations
Management.

I’m currently in the data analysis and write-up
phase of my Ph.D. dissertation research
at the DeGroote
School of Business, McMaster University. My dissertation defence
is anticipated sometime in winter 2008.

I’m currently working with the research
team for these two projects:
i)
“myhamilton.ca User Uptake
and Adoption Study” investigating the
adoption and use of the City of Hamilton’s www.myhamilton.ca
community portal by its users ; and
ii)
"Adoption and Use of Community
Municipal Portals" (funded by Infrastructure
Canada's Peer-Reviewed Research Studies (PRRS) program) (click
here for a synopsis of the project) examining multiple community-oriented
municipals portals as a means of understanding the factors that
affect community portal adoption and use in various cities and regions.

I have completed my Ph.D.
coursework, comprehensive examinations, and dissertation proposal
defence at the DeGroote
School of Business, McMaster University. I am currently working
towards my dissertation research. My subject field is Information
Systems & research areas are Community
Informatics and Computer Mediated Communication.
Specifically, my dissertation topic is Enhancing
User Participation in Virtual Communities: Towards a Socio-Technical
Process Model.
