I haven’t wronged when I thought you
I haven’t sinned when I felt you
I haven’t erred when I dreamed you
Then bury you in oblivion – why should I?

We can’t be together
This truth has left me cold
But I didn’t ask before I loved you
Then bury you in oblivion – why should I?

Being in love is risky
Today I’m emotionally devastated
But I have deep soul satisfaction that I’ve loved you so pure
Then bury you in oblivion – why should I?

It has left me scarred and it hurts inside
As if my heart’s been ripped out of me
Yet when I think of you it makes me smile
Then bury you in oblivion – why should I?
